Echoheart walked into, what would be, her new den. She found Ravenpelts old nest. She won't use it any more... Echoheart felt a little depressed. She hadn't been a medicine cat apprentice for long, and she still worried that she would forget herbs. It was hard to imagen her mentor fighting as a warrior, going out on border patrols and hunting patrols. Why would she want to just... quit? Echoheart thought to herself. She layed down in her new nest with her eyes half closed. I'm going to miss her...

Echoheart nodded. "I never thought I'd become the clans medicine cat so fast..." She meowed. She stood up and looked at her old mentor. "Hows being warrior?" Echohear held back the anger in her mew.

"Good." Echoheart smiled cat-like. "You deserve to be in the position you want." She didn't really want to mean her words, but since Ravenpelt was her mentor, she couldn't help but feel happy knowing that her mentor was happy.

"Because your no longer a medicine cat. Your free to have mates and kits. Go patroling. Theres alot of good things to being a warrior. Medicine cats sacrafince all the for their clan... I can see why you wouldn't want to be one..." Echoheart started to pad away. "Im going herb hunting..."

Nettlepaw's eyes felt teary as she limped into the Medicine Cat den, her eyes widened at the sight of the deputy and former medicine cat. "U-u-uh." She mumbled, her paw stinging with pain as she limped closer to Echoheart. "My paw, it hurts!" Her cry was pitiful as she lifted her pad up, a thorn stuck in it.
