It was a dark night. The moon was shining above and the stars of Silverpelt were twinkling brightly. Boring! Though Dawnstar with yawn.
Nothing was happening, nothing had happened. The only worry on Dawnstar's mind was SunClan's shortage of members. Only she, her deputy Roseblossom, and their medicine cat, Leopardpelt were in their Clan. Meanwhile, LeafClan was thriving and the other Clans only had a leader.
Dawnstar sighed and looked up at the night sky. The moon and stars just blankly shined down, having no worry about what was happening down in the forest.
Another sigh. Dawnstar was sitting in the middle of the camp with nothing to do. Nothing could be done until SunCLan had more members.
No one could go on patrol with another cat, as that would leave no one to guard camp. Dawnstar rolled over with a half-hearted grunt. Nothing was happening while the Clans were being built.
Nothing had ever seen as boring as this. Dawnstar stared up at the sky again, wishing SunClan would get more members soon.
Dawnstar pricked her ears. Then relaxed. NObody would be awake at this time of the night. Except me Dawnstar thought. Then she shrugged and padded to the fresh-kill pile. Only a lithe mouse remained. Better hunt tommorow Dawnstar suddenly thought. With a sniff at the mouse, she stepped away and lay down again.
The sky was still dark. Dawnstar wished it was morning. Come on already! She thought. There's nothing to do at night. Would the sun hurry up with the rising? Never before had she wished it so hard to be morning. She wasn't exactly an early riser, as you may put it.
Dawnstar rolled her eyes at the stars and twisted again. She thought of going back to her den and trying to sleep again but she had been at that for a long time. Dawnstar sat up and began grooming herself. Nothing to do, and I'm really bored. she thought. May as well do something boring!
